Christian Open Mic is a virtual open mic event that occurs on Zoom the 2nd Saturday of each month, at 1:00pm Houston time.
Originals are encouraged, but covers are also welcome. Each performer will be allowed to sing two songs. Each song, including introduction and any comments or explanations, should come in at under 5 minutes.
If time permits, you might be given the opportunity to perform additional songs – it depends on how many artists sign up to perform.
If you wish to perform, you must be pre-approved by contacting the event organizer with a valid, functioning email address. I will then email you our performer questionnaire. (This is to screen out Zoom bombers.) If your email address is valid and actually works, and if you email back answers that seem legit, I’ll add you to the lineup and send you the Zoom join link. In the event our lineup is already full, I can add you to the lineup for the following month.
All songs performed must be of a Christian nature and must not contain potentially offensive elements (no swear words, for example). All denominations are welcome. This is meant to be a safe place for all humans – no intolerance based on race, gender, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, or political affiliation will be tolerated. Participants are expected to be supportive and encouraging to one another.
