TEST 12844 https://kingdomguide.co.uk/events/understanding-islam/

Understanding Islam

At this online Equip event we will be thinking about Muslim people as people, made in the image of God yet fallen. As such, they are no different to all of us. Indeed, their religion can look and sound very similar to our own. We will look at some of their practices and beliefs, and think how best we can talk about Jesus with Muslim people.

This is the Premier annual Men’s conference organised by the OFNC Men’s group called the “Anchor Men”. The conference will focus on the challenges faced by today’s Christian in defending their faith and how to effectively evangelise our world. In this season of declining societal values and worldwide ungodly radicalisation and onslaught on Christians we aim to equip men as saints for the next move of God. This is to enable them take their place in a society where the Bible and the word of God is the final authority.

Who should attend?

The conference is open to ALL men from the age of 18 years old- Fathers, Sons, brothers, friends from anywhere in the world.

You can invite, encourage and support men from all walks of life to attend the conference.

Men and especially their Leaders in Churches

Women register your husbands

Parents register your adult sons

Can I bring Non-Christian Men?

This is an Evangelistic conference with emphasis on equipping men to become godly and dependable role models in our Society. It is therefore an ideal conference to bring any man that you wish to reach for God or strengthen in their faith. It might just be the tipping event that makes them commit to a life in Jesus and eternity with God.

Why Should I attend?

To become a man that God can use for His purpose you have to be dependable and trusted to teach your children and dependants the ways of the Lord. This Conference and other Anchor men programmes will provide you with the necessary skills, attitudes and wisdom to stand and be counted for God in today’s decadent society.

A Short History of Christmas

How did Christmas gain such an outsized purchase on our imaginations and our bank accounts? A quick course from Saturnalia to Santa!

We trace the history of Christmas from the birth of Jesus and the writing of the Christian gospels to the celebration of Christmas Day and the Christmas Season, the setting of the date on the Roman calendar, and the slow addition of traditions about the Magi, St. Nicholas and Santa Claus. Along the way to the commercial extravaganza we now know, we take some side trips to ask how the Reformers and the Puritans celebrated, how Charles Dickens got involved, what happened in the ’50s, and what the war on Christmas is all about. Join us for three weeks of cultural and historical contextualizing about our favorite holiday.
